Organ Activity Schedule

According to traditional Chinese medicine, each organ in our body has its own optimal time of activity. Understanding this biological clock can help improve health and overall well-being. In this article, we will look at how the distribution of time during the day can promote harmony of body and mind.

Table of Time of the Five Organs and Six Meridians

  • Lung meridian: 3-5 hours (deep sleep)
  • Large Intestine Meridian: 5-7 hours (defecation)
  • Stomach meridian: 7–9 am (breakfast)
  • Spleen Meridian: 9-11 o'clock (blood formation, drinking water)
  • Heart meridian: 11–13 hours (lunch, afternoon nap)
  • Bladder Meridian: 3–5 pm (detox, afternoon tea)
  • Kidney meridian: 17-19 hours (dinner)
  • Pericardial meridian: 19–21 hours (walk)
  • Three Heaters Meridian (Sanjiao): 21:00–23:00 (leg rest)
  • Gallbladder Meridian: 23:00–1:00 (falling asleep)
  • Liver meridian: 1-3 hours (deep sleep, blood storage, detoxification)
